She's awesome<3
Stolen from essentially everyone on the internet, also known as "See mitsu procrastinate on writing that s/z/c/ tentacle!frot she's supposed to post today".
You're supposed to post a list of female characters that you love, that people in fandom tend to hate on. But. So, the thing is? It really annoys me when people hate on characters, even ones I don't personally much like. And I just stop listening to people who do that. But I'm willing to assume that someone hates any character, so we'll just go with it, ok? :D
1. Aeris. Because she goes into battle in a pink sundress and hiking boots, and spends most of the game as your healing-magic girl but gets to save the day at the end. I like that she can be a girl without sacrificing her personal power.
2. Elena. Because she's little and blonde and cute and Reno fucks with her no more than he would Rude or Tseng. <3 Also, the need to prove herself she's usually written with. *Squirm* Which. Kind of undermines that power I like so much about her, but also is a really nice flaw as far as they go, and gives lots of excuses for showing off her awesome.
3. Hawkeye. Loyalty!kink ftmfw. Also gunkink and dogtags. Unf.
4. Galadriel. Because she told feanor to fuck off, got her OWN kingdom and consort, and gave her hair to a dwarf instead. And had people arguing over whether she was more beautiful than her granddaughter.
5.Garnet. Because she's so intent on living her own life that she cuts herself off from all of these other things she might have had, and it's kind of gorgeous and kind of tragic and she's just so smart and self-contained and just... wonderful. *who me? crush? whut?*
6.Argilla. HELLO THERE DID I MENTION GUNKINK? O.O Also facial scars and pink lipstick.
7. Koucho. Y'know, that prostitute/underworld lord/big-sister figure to the MC in Saimono? The one who gave Shuurei makeup when she left and told her to wear it as "war paint" and that once she's put it on she can't cry no matter what? Yeah. THAT koucho. *desperately wants yuri for her*
8. Mitsuru-sempai. alskdjfaljsd "Amazing as always.<3" Because she's classy and strong and beautiful and good at everything without being a bitch about it and doesn't seem to quite get interacting with other people and her boys are so helplessly in love with her and just. SHE'S WONDERFUL, OK? She just IS.
9. Rukia. Because she's little and dark and takes no shit from anyone and will fight to the death for a friend and was ready to die during her execution and loves her brother and can't draw and still feels so ridiculously guilty over Kaien and forces Orihime to be strong and Ichigo to be smart and Renji to get a clue and just. Is so human and imperfect and beautiful in spite of it.
10. Maya from "The Traveler". Because she swordfights and pulls insane super-spy tricks and slips undercover and works alone and doesn't like her job or want her training, but has them anyway.
Overall, I seem to have it bad for characters for whom femininity is a pleasure and a pride rather than a sign of oppression, characters who can be powerful without having to make themselves masculine.
