still most upsetting sequence ever.

There's a chase event that's similar in form in Nocturne, but it's with Dante (of Devil May Cry), so it is far, far less distressing. D:

I think at least half of the terror of this bit comes from the fact that I find his character design freakishly frightening. Though the rumble and the racing heartbeat OH CRAP HE'S CHASING ME music don't help. :/

yes! The chasing part with the controller rumbling is unnerving, but it's the fact that you're being chased by THAT HORRIBLE THING AUGH GET IT AWAY that really makes it distressing. ._.

RIGHT?! I really thought it might be less upsetting the second time through, too, since you kind of know what to expect and how to deal with it. BUT NO! *cries tiny coward tears*

OTOH, Gale being hot and also kind of *I am ten seconds from kicking you in the face. WITH KNIVES* goes a long way towards making it better. <333 Such an unreasonable crush, I have for him
