APH: Night and Fog!England
England, also from Mith's Shells for Teeth and Weeds for Tongue. Worksafe for obsession, thick coastal fog, and England's inability to refrain from poking his bruises.

Oh.

oh.

T--this. The affectation's exactly right, mirror image, though, but--but yeah, oh god, it's so amazing, his posture, the assertive but haunted expression and the way the shadows play on him and spiral all the focus to his eyes and THAT HAND. That hand. And his neck. And.

Oh god, you are so being be'cookied for this. Next week, I do the recipe for Sweden and Finland's molasses-toffee cookies and send them to you. YES.

Thank you so much for this.

Oh goddammit. You'd think by twenty-three I'd know my right from my left. Too much time modeling pictures from the mirror; I always fuck that up. Argh. Argh.

I'm glad you like it alright anyway? You bring out this mental image for me, of England the Pirate, England and the Sea, England with the fever-bright half-mad eyes, bound to some insane purpose, and it's so crazy sexy and awesome, and I really wanted to get that across. Whether I did or not, I dunno, but... yeah. So.

<3

it is more than all right, i will think of it as the reflective version?

It really get to the heart of the story and that is what I love most about it, how you captured him and all that in the pose and the color and the fog. It's gorgeous, seriously gorgeous.

May I link other people to this and the America art on my own journal?

Sure; I'm always flattered that people would want to show off my work, so you're welcome to do so whenever you'd like. :)

What Mith said.

Words fail to describe how utterly awesome you are, you know. <3 You -- really, you make both of us so happy.

And just looking at that I can feel the tension between how England tries to present himself in that snappy uniform and then his ties to something so much more primal beneath that...guh. It's just so gorgeous. You've done such wonderful things with lighting in this, too.

<3. Like a lot.

Even at his most civilized, England is never very far from painting himself blue and cutting your face off with a shell. 'S what you get, talking to the fairies all the time. I find it quite charming, personally. <3

I'm happy you liked the pic; your estimations of awesomeness are completely reciprocated, you know. You and Mith both, so cool. <3 Always hijacking me with the pure awesome.
